Additional...thanks for the texture site link. I usually lean towards creating everything myself...but just browsing through their library gives me plenty of ideas, especially the paint and concrete textures - great for some urban themed art.

Oooh! Very, very cool. I may try more textures in my stuff; I'm kinda afraid of them. @.@ But this helps!

Yea I really like textures but its more of a stylistic thing than a "realism" thing (especially this tecnique haha)

nice tips! I usually just add textures to 1 or 2 places in a pic, & I never thought about giving them color. I'll try this soon.^^

yea I mentioned that slapping an entire layer of texture is bad practice; you're right its best to add just to a few places :3

Yea.... I love to read tutorials to get different perspectives but MOST of the tutorials I read are "this is how I CG a piece from beginning to end!" which is like....... probably 90%+ the same for every person. I like to break it down and concentrate on really specific tips cause thats what I'm always looking for in tutorials :3

Yes, that's right.
Most of them are "now I do this and that" but it's not said "how I do this and that".
Tutorial is helpful indeed

Yours are often much more helpful than other ones I see floating around :3 I actually read them instead of just looking at the pictures x3
