Ugh... this was a pain to do. Not that the pattern was so much stress, I'm finally getting into a technique were tortoiseshells no longer mean the death of me, but still...It's Spottedleaf. Ugh... The biggest menace of a stalker the series ever saw. So bloody perfect, so magnificent at everything; and so DEAD. Hitting on a boy and turning the creepy non-romance into a necrophiliac non-romance, yeeeeaaaah - not.Β
Let's leave it at that, before I start a rant worthy of much more than these key words~ Ahem, onto her design; Spotty is an American shorthair, but since she's never been in active duty much she's rather slim (that and she's a she-cat, they're naturally less buff). The only issue with her canon design, is the red fur - but that'll be dealt with come Swiftbreeze's turn; she'll turn into a torbie most likely, juuuust like Robinwing did~ I couldn't remove the ginger fur from their lineage since that would screw with Redtail and Sandstorm especially.Β
P.S. I laughed my head off in unbridled joy when Spotty finally left the books for good, 23 books too late~ It just had to be said lolol.

I was happy when Spottedleaf died. I thought it was CREEPY when she was hitting on Firestar. That's why, in my rewrite, I just have her pull Firepaw aside and tell him that a relationship between them would never work.

Spottedleaf is by far one of the most overrated characters in the series. Her haters play her off as nothing more than a "stalker" and her fans play her off as this perfect angel. Just like Silverstream, she had no development and was just this beautiful goddess who was beloved by all. Despite everything, I personally can't hate her. I don't love her, but she's alright, she never offended me or rubbed me the wrong way. I feel as if she could've been this really intelligent character who acted as Firestar's guide, but the writers just decided to use her as a petty love interest. Sure she did other things, but that was the most of it, she was Firestar's first love interest. Geez, I remember when I was younger I used to love Fire x Spotted, now I can't stand it. Their relationship could've been interesting if it had more development and it was a one-sided crush from Fire, but no. Making it mutual just made it creepy, especially with the 2-3 years age gap.

Pretty perfect flat medicine cat at the age of 3-4 falls in love with a cat that's basically still a kitten and the fandom accepts it cos the Erin's have hypnotised us.
She speaks with Firepaw for 2 minutes remembering to put on perfume beforehand,
dies and then makes "the ultimate sacrifice" 23 books later.
The fandom accepts this.Β
And us Sand x Fire shippers who believe in developed couples have to sit and watch the rest of the Warriors fandom go;-

I agree so much on her. She literally is loved when she was only in the books for little, and Firestar can't let go off a stupid, childish crush. He has a mate and daughters, for goodness sake! But no, he still loves her. Oh, yeah, I was also happy when she died a second time. At least we won't be hearing from her anytime soon.
I'm happy I finally found someone who thinks like me. Spottedleaf was a creepy stalker and making Sandstorm feeling like second-best. I'm not a big fan of either of them (Firestar and Spottedleaf) but I, without a shadow of doubt, hate Spottedleaf more than him. I just can't wrap my head around WHY people ship them. It's crazy to me.Β
