This is really, really helpful! I never was able to draw rabbits without making them look like cats, but the hint about the eyes really helped

I have a rabbit foot and it does not have those huge claws on it. .-.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kium In reply to Skittywolf [2011-12-13 21:08:18 +0000 UTC]

Well their not huge, or your rabbit foot could be fake or declawed

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Skittywolf In reply to Kium [2011-12-13 22:04:59 +0000 UTC]

They're probably de-clawed. <_>

Could you please make a tutorial that show differences between rabbit and hare? It would be very handy.

The only thing I would add to these AWESOME tutorials is the hind quarters. No matter how many photos I study the back feet seem to elude me on how they stretch/how they sit under the rabbit. Any advice on the matter?

Kium In reply to Dyani-Tokala [2011-09-28 11:16:16 +0000 UTC]

Not anything off the top of my head or that I can explain over text other than the skin/fur kind of goes over the knees when they sit.

Dyani-Tokala In reply to Kium [2011-09-28 21:21:05 +0000 UTC]

Ah. That is rather helpful in its own right.

Both parts of your tutorial were very helpful and I learned a lot of things!
I always thought that rabbits had pads, now I know.

If they had pads, then it wouldn't be fun to look at them on slippery surfaces. XD ...I feel so wrong. I think that is the downside of using art to learn instead of looking at the actual animal. Artists can make stuff up to make things look cool.

the paws make me think of a badger

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kium In reply to Bi-Everything [2011-07-26 21:02:05 +0000 UTC]

Well badgers are also digging animals, so that would be correct.

I figured as much. So you can make a badger rabbit hybrid now >.>
