Description
Instagram | YoutubeI wanted to update the original file, but I guess DA won't let you change videos. : Hrm... Anyway! I've tweaked a few shots and I think the story makes more sense and has a better ending now.
Thank you, everyone, for the previous feedback! It was really helpful. I'm definitely still open to crits, but I consider this mostly finished, even with the inconsistent visual "styles". In other words, I appreciate feedback on the story, pacing, and composition, but I don't plan on shading the second part, as I don't think doing so contributes to the actual story.
Thanks.

I loved the fox's reaction as he read the signs beneath each of the chickens. THAT was ROFLMAO stuff.

Amusing, and with a different kind of ending Also the style goes well. After my brain got over the jump of shaded to not, it didn't mind lol.

Just have to say that I love the idea and execution of this. In fact, my only real 'criticism' would be the fact that it isn't a full animation, and that comes only from a desire to see how good it would be

that was such a cute story I love how the fox was so picky about what eggs to eat XD and the chicken was so nice to give him the eggs at the end, and like she said it's not like chicks were going to come out of those eggs anyway.
very nice!
if you don't mind me asking: will you animate this? 'cause it's just such a nice little story >w<

Great work--I love the fox! I especially love his expressions of disgust when he reads the signs!

this is really neat! I own chickens myself and I remember seeing your draft a while back and thought it was really cute. Glad to see you've gone a little further. c:

This is too cool! I'm a chicken nerd so I started grinning the moment I saw all the homogenized and antibiotics signs.

Haha! It was tricky coming up with that list of words... I think they're mostly nonsense when applied to eggs. But my mom recently began working at a farm, and we were surprised to hear people actually asking for "pasteurized eggs". But... it turns out they meant "pasture-raised".

Lol, regardless, I think this is an excellent twist on the old 'fox ransacks a chicken house'. I have to say my favorite part was the "It's not like they're fertilized." Not many people know you don't need a rooster to get eggs!

I saw the changes! ♥♥♥ The basket was a perfect touch. And that sign addition was spot-on. That ending really fit that understanding between the two. I even got a little teary and "AWWWW" when the fox got to leave with a gifted meal. C':
Really wonderful. I'm glad to see things worked so well for you!

Hey, thank you for your advice before. You know... I'm kind of wondering about leaving in the hug. I like it visually, but it might be too much without the 'family' context of before. I'm really not sure.

No problem at all! I'm glad that my input was actually of use to you! ♥♥♥
I had to think about the family context you mention here; I'm not sure if I'm missing something now. XD From what I'm imagining you mean though, is that a hug from a random hen and random fox seems perhaps 'overly' friendly for two strangers. I could see a simple shoulder hug or warm rub/pat on the back working well though, because I myself have struck up suddenly warm and friendly conversations with older women, and they might find something I say or do endearing and they'll pat my hand or upper arm in a grandmotherly way. I could also see the hen alternatively making a comment after that of the instinct mention, saying something along the lines of, "It's hard to find a decent meal these days" being the hint of the modifications to their diets and the signs nearby.
Sorry for the late reply, btw. x)

So, the hen just gives him the eggs because they are not fertilized? Or am I missing something?
I'm sure it's really obvious too!
