Description
The Columbia class is the 3rd Phase Retrofit/upgrade of the Yorktown class of battleships from the 22nd Century. Yorktowns were the mainstay of the Federation fleets during the Romulan-Federation War and these ships were refit and re-purposed as battlecruisers in the early 23rd Century during the 4-years War with the Klingons as "Phase-II" Ticonderoga Class battlecruisers. After the 4-years war ended, the Yorktown/Ticonderoga was modernized and re-purposed again, this time as the Columbia class of Perimeter Action Ship.Original Yorktown class ships were from the officially licensed video game "Star Trek Legacy".

Actually this is what Admiral Akbar would call "A TRAP!" for the STD fans.

Because this ship was the study model I did before doing my USS Discovery class that I am working on tonight.

CAPN THE ENERGIZER IS WIRED UP LIKE AN IED SO TRY NOT TO GIVE HER TOO MANY BUMPS.also we are using nitroglycerin instead of duterium.

A fantastic design. This reminds me of other classes of starship like the Spokane-class and one of my favorites, the Nestor-class ships. I realize this is based on the Yorktown-class but This is just as awesome as that design, tweeked a bit. Well done!

I'm going to make a few retrofit type ships (of the large cruisers) that would have survived up until the 24th or even 25th Century.
So there will be a couple of ships from the NX era.
