Description
The second ship designed by Zeframe Cochrane after he moved from Earth to the UEG colonies at Alpha Centauri (and the original Starbase One), the Bonaventure class was named after the UESPA Cochrane class ship--NCC-005--of the same name that was destroyed by Orion pirates in 2111 near Rigel IV in the Beta Orionis (Rigel) star system. With Orion pirates becoming an increasing menace to the shipping, exploration, and colonization efforts of the United Earth Government and her colonies, the first ever armed colony ship (classified as a Galleon by the UESPA), entered service. Its principle warp configuration design was by Zeframe Cochrane who determined that a larger deflector dish combined with a dorsal twin array of his then famous LN-05 warp drives in a parrallel configuration almost next to each other would mimic a larger single warp engine and not just double, but increase warp speed efficiency by 2.25 percent over existing designs making warp factors above warp-3 possible. The Bonaventure was the most heavily armed, and armored ship of her day up until the Patton-Marshall class was introduced in 2125. The Naval Commission Contract numbers of the Bonaventure class ships (with the exception of the class ship's NCC-005A number) were NCC-89 to NCC-140.Related content

I'm trying to keep these ships uniform and modular as this is what the Terrans bring as their contribution to the Federation when it is formed. Therefore, ALL of the UESPA ships built from 2099 to 2155 (when the Coalition of Planets is formed to deal with the Romulans) use similar main components and are modular.
