Description
A design for Threadless. They let you submit it as a Flash so I did that. (:
Tell me what you think, cause this is still in crit over there. I can still change it before I submit to the running.
[link] - Original sketch. I went over that with pen on tracing paper, scanned that, then vectorized and colored it in Flash.

I smoke Marlboro Reds (Cowboy Killers). but I wont die of lung cancer. I'll die of pancreatic cancer at age 53 like every male in my family. It's a cancer that cant be detected until it's too late.
...
umm... sunshine and happiness?

oh believe me, I try to quit every day. but it's become my only method of sustaining my dopamine levels. in a way, it's like a tumor. it's very much a part of me, and slowly forcing the life from me. if I had it to do over again, I would have never smoked the first one. that one, didn't get me hooked, but it did open a door to a long winding stair case that will never reach a safe landing. I try to quit everyday.

Yeah well I have no clue what it's like so it's not my place.
But I dunno, it just seems like it'd be so horrible knowing what it's doing to you that you'd do anything to quit.
Can't you just like smoke a tiny bit less every month or so and eventually just like, have it dwindle down to nothing? Or is that some stupid myth?

it's damn near impossible to do. the nicotine causes the levels of dopamine in your brain to skyrocket. your brain naturally defends it's self by destroying dopamine receptors and thus bringing the level to a virtual normal. however, now that there are less receptors for dopamine, your normal level isn't enough to keep you in a good balanced state of mind. so you need to smoke more and more until the level of dopamine you put into yourself is dictated by how much you smoke. truly, you aren't happy unless you are smoking.
so, trying to wean yourself off of nicotine by smoking less is a method that will never stop. the brain just becomes dependent upon nicotine. the only good way to stop is to cut off all nicotine at once. this will cause the brain to absolutely insane from lack of dopamine reception, but it's eventual response will be to grow new receptors.

I didn't know any of that, that's interesting.
So dopamine just controls your mood? And lack therefore lack of nicotine = lack of happiness?
That's horrible. Cause I knew the gradual increase/decrease thing worked on other stuff. You can build up an immunity to venom by doing that.

well, dopamine is the chemical that controls elation. you are always at a certain level of elation depending upon how much dopamine you have going through your brain at the time. having to much or too little being receipted for too long can send the brain into chaos.

It's even cooler up close, with the details in the burnt stubs and yes.
Simple is good, to the point, IMO. I do like it. Seems like it could be one of those large billboard ads downtown.
With flashing neon lights and sound effects... yeeah!
And holy shiiit THAT FLASH EFFECT JDSKLFDjkdddd.
I was literally like: woah
But that's beside the point.

Haha thanks. Making a billboard ad is one my many life goals.
And on the Flash, you'll figure it out. It's easy.

Haha, great goal. I'll keep my eyes open for your billboards in the future. Anything I can expect? Flashing lights? A sound system? Animated?
I opened Flash a few days ago to tried doing the whole preloader and play button thing. HOLY SHIT it took me 5 hours just to get it to work correctly. And now I'm so tired of it I don't even feel like doing the animation that was the base of the Flash in the first place.
Jbfdhkl I had to mod the NG one and just stare at the Action Script on that until I kind of got it.

Just use the NG ones, don't mess with them. I can't make my own code for em either. It gives me a headache.
I'm more of the artist than the scripter.
And do the preloader at the end. That way it doesn't kill the actual animation.

Yeah, geez. I figured out how to make it more "Mackenzietastic" or something by changing the fonts used and the whole button thing. It was 1am and I almost screamed.
Scripting looks like such a pain in the ass. My in-law is being forced to learn it for his product and he's complaining about how easy and horribly crude it all is. Ugh.
Haha, I already did it. Afterwards, yeah, I realized it was probably better to save those things for the end.

It would work fine if you'd add:
Smoking kills, Are you next?

Giora

I kinda wanted the "WIN" to be the only text on the shirt, so it's kind of simple and to the point.
Thanks for your input though, I'll definitely consider it.
