Whooooweee.been gone a while.
here's a tiny piece of what i've been doing.
On the left were layout concepts i did while boarding the final version of my film. On the right are the actual screenshots. Cool, huh?
EDIT: in response to a lot of the posts, i'll post the film as soon as i can find a way to get the file size small enough to upload.
(watercolor, black ink ballpoint pen on the left; photoshop under pencil animaiton keyframe, edited over watercolor backgrounds)

I love it that you use watercolor for your backgrounds. It give the whole image a refreshingly rustic look. Also: ACTION! Mwah! Eesa bellicima!

Lessee..... your film was.... Bounty? Nice. This is a really good layout, and those stills from the film really capture that washed/pen look that you have in your storyboards (even though its PSed in post, I know). Your choice of colors for bg and cells is sweet; I've seen that be your pallete before, but it really comes nicely together here in film form. Congrats with the film, and good luck with portfolio review (although with material like this, you won't need to worry about landing a good job).

Wow! It looks great! What are you using to color the animation? I see that your stills are sketchy.. I always found it to be a real bitch to color sketchy frames.. Did you discover some trick to it?

just photoshop and a tablet. and if there was a trick to it, i never found it. i think it just came down to i drew it, so i had some sort of sense where the real outline ended and others began. it was a total mess though

I think the freaky alien chameleon dude was my favorite thing in the film. I mean, come on! Who doesn't love alien yelling?

The film looks interesting, and it's interesting to see how it has changed (and stayed the same) during the filmmaking process.
