Description This is the second in my technology and beauty series. Please excuse my selections. I did this series when I first started using Photoshop. When people think the blending of man and technology they conjure up images of George Orwell’s 1984 or of the Borg from Star Trek. Rather than make this evolution seem grotesque and ugly, like in the artwork of H.R Geiger, I am trying to make it seem attractive, more like natural beauty. Evolution is a natural process. With these images I am trying to present man’s technological developments as being part of a natural process. After all there is nothing more beautiful than nature itself. You may have noticed that I have barcodes on a man and a moth in two of my images. Barcodes may conjure up ideas of manufacture and reproduction in the viewer. This surely would seem a bad thing when applied to living creatures. Almost all material objects that we buy have been manufactured and reproduced yet we still manage to attach sentimental value to a lot of them. The barcodes are a comment on this kind of sentimentality.

Very interesting idea, i'll certainly look at some of your other stuff sometime. This piece wins on originality becuase it's not a rip of the Matrix, the barcode idea is kinda like Hitman: Codename 47 the game for PC. It's cool!

great work, i would only make this one little suggestion, to maybe make the barcode a bit smaller, it's kinda big for the neck, i don't know just seems that way to me, i love the color choices, very good and the blending of the piece is great, w00t!
