Tehe...
I know that doesn't work. I wrote that as an Edit in the artist's comment.
Follow the link to the avatar base. You can just save it there. ^^

This looks hard...
I've never animated anything before...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kosetsu In reply to FinalSmash [2010-05-13 13:37:55 +0000 UTC]

I can't really judge that, but it took me some time to get it as well.
What's really hard at animating is to make fluids movements, though, so this may be a good start!
If you'd like to try, good luck! ^^

how do you make the chibi's fit on a normal sized canvas? when i copy+paste it, it comes on the long tutorial shape, and im using artweaver TT^TT

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kosetsu In reply to AdiosSirMatador [2009-10-02 11:33:09 +0000 UTC]

Oh my, I don't know about artweaver... Let me think... >.<
Um, I quess it'll work best the way I described within the tut:
Copy and paste the tutorial into Paint. Then choose the square "selection tool", select the single pictures of the animation and save them on your comp. Then you should be able to open them with artweaver.
I hope that helps! Γ“wΓ’

You've probably gotten dozens of questions like this, but is it possible to make an animated avatar in MSPaint and Windows Movie Maker? They're the most advanced tools I have. T-T

Kosetsu In reply to Elcra [2009-07-29 10:25:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah, no no! It's a good question! ^^
I remember months of trying to work with only these two programs... =.=;

The drawing itself of course works with Paint! But if you use Movie Maker to animate it, you'll only be able to save it as a movie, which you can't use as avi. (and you can't change its size either, I think)
Not having a progam to animate is the problem for most people. Someone told me in another comment about such a webside, though...
I'll ask them about it!

if you go to [link] load the first frame and click animate, you can load up the frames in order and choose the speed and loop it etc.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Elcra In reply to gotitmemorisedsgal-8 [2009-08-04 18:40:04 +0000 UTC]

I apologize, but I have absolutely no idea how to colour the first frame or animate any of it. Um...if it's not too much trouble, would you mind telling me what to click or something? Sorry for my ignorance. ^_^;

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

gotitmemorisedsgal-8 In reply to Elcra [2009-08-04 18:55:42 +0000 UTC]

no problem!
okay, so you can just open the frames in a simple program like paint and colour them there and save them. Then, on the site, click load file and find the first frame. Once that has loaded, scroll down the page and in the 'Create' columb there should be the words 'combine' and 'animate' next to each other. click 'animate' and it should take you to another screen where you can load a huge number of files. Load each frame in order in the seperate boxes, and then scroll to the bottom. Click the drop down arrow on 'Animation Speed and there are speeds for the animation. (1/5 second is a good speed) Beneath that, click the drop down for Loop count, and select how many time you want te animation to repeat itself. Below that there is a checkbox(make images the same size) that must be checked! otherwise the animation will flick btween different sizes. Then click the big 'Create Animation' button. This tkes you back to the home, where there is a large prevew of your animation. Click on the animation, and it will take you to a screen with jus the animation on it. Right click on it and select 'Save Picture As..' and save the animation to your computer, and your done!
and don't worry about it, your not ignorant at all.

I have a question, how do I open it in ImageReddy? I'm having some trouble doing it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kosetsu In reply to Chiiromi-chan [2009-07-27 11:40:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, first you need Image Ready. ^^
(Sorry 'bout that, but many ask how to make an avi but don't even have a suiting program. In that case, I can't help, of course)
You do know how to open Image Ready, do you? If, then opening the GIF should be no problem.
Just double click the grey background and... well, then the GIF (after you saved it, of course).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Chiiromi-chan In reply to Kosetsu [2009-07-29 22:50:40 +0000 UTC]

Oh don't worry about that I have ImageReady I just can't manage getting the base into the program (I'm blond maybe that explains) Ok I clicked on the download button on the left side of the image and the it opens another web page with the image, but I’m not able to save the image still in gif format…I’m kind of lost.

sujji [2009-07-25 09:38:54 +0000 UTC]

what is the size i need to do this in? D:

if i wanna start out with a completely original pic for my avvie, do i start with 50x50 pixel canvas? or is it better to start big and then resize it afterwards???

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kosetsu In reply to sujji [2009-07-27 11:46:39 +0000 UTC]

If you start with a 50x50 pixel canvas, it's too small to draw properly. That's the reason I also made the base-pictures this big. ^^
So yup, better resize it afterwards. But make the lines thick enough! ;D (A mistake I often make)
I recommend you to use something around 200x200 or 250x250. But it's actually unimportant, since you'll change it into 50x50 later anyway.

ummmm yea how da hell do i get the animation i mean i downloaded both of em but like wat option do i put to get the frames

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kosetsu In reply to zignoth [2009-07-13 16:02:18 +0000 UTC]

Just open it via Image Ready or any other animation program!
You'll get the single frames then. (Eg Image Ready shows the single frames the animation consists of) ^^
If that doesn't work, you can also copy them from the tutorial itself.
(I hope I got your question right. Correct me, if not.)
