Jesus fuck if I ever see this picture again it'll be too soon. I do love Ryuk, though.
ANYWAY, yes. Fanart. Death Note, obvz. As you can see I've decided to swerve away from what I normally draw and indulge the manga/anime lover in me. Mind you, I stopped watching DN three episodes after L died, not because I loved L (I'm in Light's camp), but because the story became so inane. I mean so.

You're right, Death Note did become kind of lame after L died. Mellow and Near didn't make a very interesting counterpoint to Light...and the convolutedness that ensues...ugh

IMHO, i liked the manga WAY better than the anime. i mean, the anime had its merits, but i just didnt think that it captured the genious of the manga.
and youre right, after L dies, it just gets crazy. by the time i finished it, i was quite glad i was done with it because i was getting kind of bored with the ridiculous twists.

I have to check the manga once I'm bothered enough, I've not seen a single person who'd say the anime is better. Plus the drawing style presented in the manga is lush. LUSH.

i didnt LOVE the drawing style in the manga, but i just thought that everything about the manga was better than the anime. there were a lot of dynamic angles in the manga, come to think of it...

Oh, they have something here (either a movie or show) that is called "L's World" or something like that. So, apparently, Death Note is still going strong. I, however, haven't read/seen any of it, so I don't know much about it.

Well, after Light gave up the Death Note things became boring, but I knew something was cooking, because Light wouldn't give up. I was right, and then things became interesting again, and then L was killed and things went cock-shaped. They shoved in a bunch of very uninteresting characters to fill up the hole, the whole game becomes old and quite ridiculous and, well, no.

Mmm, I see what you mean. L dying really killed it. It might have been better, had Near and Mello been a little different, but yeah, they couldn't quite fill the void. Some people enjoy them, some don't. My friend is absolutely obsessed with them. I don't get why. ._.

I haven't read the manga, just watched the anime and it's reaaaaaally good up until a certain point, then it gets whacky and you wathc it find out if there's a reason to it being so odd, and once you find out that there is it goes cock-chaped. FUN FUN FUN!

theres one basic plot like collecting a bunch o' stuff. and basically each quest for a certain part becomes one story arch. or whenever "Evil Baddie Group A" is defeated, they move on, and find "Evil Baddie Group B"
