This was an older how-to tutorial so I decided to update it with a fresh look and fresh screen captures! So it seems like deviants get a little confused on how to submit artwork to AnthroCommunity or groups in general. Here is a tutorial to help!

My members can't submit to my group. Why?
Make sure you have submissions ENABLED. To check this do the following:
1. Group
2. Admin area
3. Manage members
4. MembersΒ on gallery, members: Make sure you have the drop down selected to either automatically approved or are subject to vote.. ( choose how many votes and how many entries someone can submit in a given time ( day / month / year ).
Do I need to be a group member to submit to a group?
Depends! Look to see if your group accepts open submissions or if you have to be a member to submit to their group. If you try to submit to their group and aren't able and you are not JOINED in that group, then that indicates they don't have open submissions.
How do I change the group submission limitations?
Go to group -> admin area -> manage members -> members -> on gallery, members: and manage your limitations there in the drop down menu for each folder

Oh, alright.
I was submitting others' artworks into a new group I made, but most of them are old accounts so I'm not sure what to do if the person doesn't respond back after a couple of months.

Hey, in the first picture, it just has the "suggest a fave" option. The same thing is happening to me with a group that I want to submit art to! Both me and the owner of the group don't know how to fix it. Thoughts?

Herm... that's odd. It should be using your deviation. There is no size limits on submitting to a group.

In the group I'm a part of, all that comes up s to make a journal or invite a friend, where you're saying there should be a submit art button. Is there any help you can give me?

Did you go to the groups front page? Or you go to your deviation, right hand side under GROUPS click the 'submit to group' button

Question. Is there any way to submit to groups faster? I wonder how people can submit their arts to 300+ groups. Did they submit their art one by one? Sounds insane...

You can submit your art to more than one group. If you go to your deviation click on "add to a group".You should be able to choose all the groups you're currently in that it applies to.

Whenever I submit, it says I exceeded the size limit even though it's the tiniest pic. I'm not core, is that the problem?AndΒ I'm not talking just one group,,,,

Huh... that's weird. That might be a bug related issue which in that case, you'll want to take a screen shot and send it to the help desk

When I click "add to a group" as in that last image, not all of my groups are shown even when I type them in by hand- do you have any idea why that might be?

So that means that their submissions are not open for that particular gallery

Ik the feels on this :3 Thank you so much Kovo, for I am also still a bit rusty on DA since I am not a consistent active member, but do so whenever I have the chance and availability. Also, I have had people come to me on some stuff and did not have a proper answer for such, this certainly is a save for helping young artists like me and starters ^.^

The most common reasons for declines in Groups I help moderate are that people do not have their posted art in the correct gallery. They also do not ever seem to read the submission guidelines. Only about 10% of the pieces that get submitted to a few groups I mod, are acceptable submissions. THEN we have to vote on whether or not we'd actually like that piece to be in the Group itself.Β

I think everyone who moderates a group runs into this very problem when it's not "open" in the sense that you have galleries and require mod's to vote on having pieces be accepted into a group :/Β Thus the F.A.Q ;D
