I expected her mane/tail to be a different color for soem reason. Her color scheme is too goldish/brown for my liking. I never saw the comics though so I almost forgot that this wasn't your own design.

To be fair, ponies in general seem to be hippies, always talking about friendship and togetherness and peace and harmony and all that jazz. I mean, look at Fluttershy.
Though I still really like the idea of hippie ponies; lots of potential for silly interactions with characters and exploration of 60's mentality in the pony universe. I can imagine it would be pretty entertaining.
I like the liveliness of this image, especially in the mare (I'm not sure who's who here, sorry), with her bouncy mane and sleeves, looking like she's putting a lot of energy into her movements. You're quite good at capturing energetic motion.
