Yes, it was flipped at first
I often flip the image while working on it - and did not realize it was wrong at first. This way the cover of her book makes more sense as well

There aren't many pony art styles I like outside of the classic show art style, but this is really awesome. I love her facial expression, the shading, and the overall composition. Very very awesome.

Reading that book directly resulted in her finding friends, saving Equestria from Nightmare Moon and Discord, uncovering new bearers for the Elements of Harmony, becoming a princess of Equestria, and transforming into a demi-goddess alicorn.
I'd read it a hundred times, too, if a book had done that for me.
