That particular pentacle is one of protection and of the Horned God, Pan (Pagan God). Inverted it is the same, a sign of protection and the Horned God, the Pagan God of sex and fertility. Now, however, inverted pentacles are considered to be the sign of the devil, the Christian God Lucifer is based from the Horned God. Basically, Christianity is based off of Paganism, that's really the only way to explain it. They took something good and turned it into something bad.

Also, if you do not believe me when I say that Christianity is a rip off of Paganism (Paganism was brought together from different elements of various ancient religions, e.g. the Pagan God, Pan is based off of Pan, the Greek God) then that is fine, but I do encourage you to go out and research this yourself so you will have a higher outlook on religions.
P.S. I am not a Pagan or Wiccan, etc, I am an Atheist.

Now that I think about it. I find it sad how the signs like the swastika and the pentacle use to mean good until it turned into an evil sign.

Yup, and sadly it tends to be religious extremists that do so. A lot of people believe Hitler was Atheist, but those are the uneducated people. Hitler actually stated that he basically believed in his own personal gawd.

That's pretty much how I looked when I was first learning to program, way back when, but without the telekinetic powers to keep the books open all around me. Especially with the drawing style an effects it has a rustic and medieval charm, which of course fits beautifully with the old style books (down to the bindings) plus quills and ink. There's quite a bit of charm in Twilight Sparkle's focused expression too, matched with her tense stillness as she looks for answers.

Nah, the pentagram is just a magical focusing inscription that specializes in "demonic" magic. It just so happens that Satan is, somehow, considered demonic... Who am I kidding, I don't have a clue.

Gorgeous work here, I really love your use of textures and this soft, warm lighting to set the mood. I think it really suits Twilight's character.
