Description So like before I wrote a report of my theories about the metroid organism, here we go for the next stage of their development, this time I decided to use metroid prime's skan visor images, I always liked those blue colored images from the scan feathure so this was the perfect chance.

These are my personal theories based on my experience and investigation, expect many DONATELO'S kind of science, why am I doing this? well it's actually kinda fun.
So here we go, feel free to ignore the next text if you want I don't mind.

if you are interested here is the previous investigations about metroid larva stage, Impl pannign to do all metroid SR388 stages of development:

BOUNTY HUNTER Β KRITKEN, INVESTIGATION REPORTS, - ALPHA METROID

During the first stages of our investigations on planet SR388, not too low from the surface we found what appeared to be metroid carcasses, and soon enough we found these organism, DNA codes tells us that indeed they are metroids, after some time or absorved certain ammounts of energy this creature grows to the next stage of it's life cycle.
The process takes about five minutes, first the regular metroid starts glowing quite a bit and becomes slow, then it decides to land on the ground and metamorphosis begins, inside it's membrane the inner parts starts to change, the places where the claws were, change to green caparace 3 nucleus migrate to the caparace but one remains out, once the creature transformation is complete it emerges from it's membrane breaking it, like a bug comming out of it's cocoon.

It changes quite a lot from it's previous stage, it resemples more a segmented insect than a jellyfish now, it looks very spheric with one of it's cores inside visible, doesn't have it's claws anymore, now it' seems to have eyes an horns, it can float like it's predecesor, but it's kinda slower.

During our expeditions metroids on this stage were the most common to find, but still they where very dangerous and agressive, in this stage this creature still feeds by absorbing energy from it's prey but in the transformation it looses it's claws to hold it's prey making it harder for it to hunt, what it does to hunt is ram at it's prey with it's new developed horns and try to impale the prey agaist the wall, floor, celling etc.
Once the creature is inpaled the metroid will use their horns on it's head to absorb the energy of it's prey, same happens they'll use it's horns to absorb the energy or machines or anything they can.

Need to talks about it's durability, this creature has overcome it's weakness to low tempreratures, from this stage it could live on any place it desires.

But this seems to come to a price, it's core is still not well shielded in this phase so it's possible to destroy it with a heavy concentrated explosive weapon, the sudden amount of energy released by the explosion will cause overloads of energy in it's body that can kill it, but only shots on it's core would damage them, shots on it's shell, eyes and horns are useless, if those get broken the creature instantly regenerates them.
Still it's durability is quite remarcable, we had to use about 5 missiles- grenades capable of blowing up walls just to destroy a single one of these things, and they can be quite agile on avoiding shots, power bombs seems to me a nice option always but they are so dangerous to use and we dont' have many.
But compared to it's previous form this stage is weaker, it's better to destroy metroids in this stage.

Before encountering an alpha metroid we found many empty metroid membranes close to an alpha, we suspect they use those remains as a territorial mark for other metroids or perhaps as a warning.

That ends my report on Alpha metroids, I'll investigate about the next stage of metroid development, Gamma metroids.

Stay tunned if you read this tell me what do you think about my thoughts, thanks for reading.

Um I did. And I know you're going to the Gamma, Zeta, and Omega Metroids next. Then the Queen Metroid.

Just as cool as the last, I'm also curious if you'll be doing more of these "investigations" on creatures other than the metroid. Say the Chozo maybe? Or Ridley! that'd be pretty sweet!
