Oh yeah it's been a while scince my last metroid drawing and for my glorious return to the metroid stuff, here a drawing of one of the most epic battles in videogame history in my opinion, the battle agaist meta ridley from Metroid Prime!Most people will know meta ridley from the smash bros brawl, but that battle from super smash is crap compared to the metroid prime battle.
Ridley after he was defeated by samus in the previous game, he was seriously injured, so many biological parts had to be replaced by robotic parts, and ridley was reborn as Meta ridley.
And he was defeated again by samus at the artifact temple in an intense battle.

Thanks for the critique dude I really appreciate it, yeah the battle in metroid prime trilogy was toughter than in the original game, I liked that because ridley didn't have many moves.

Yeah, you're right; the Trilogy battle is much more satisfying when you (finally) win it on Hard...the Wave Buster cheat on the original Prime did make the battle a little cheap.
LOL I still resent a couple of last-second wins Ridley got on me in Trilogy though!!

That's AWESOME! The rain sets the tone of the picture. I like how you can see that it hits certain surfaces, very nice. It was indeed smart to emphasize on this, as the rain had something to do with the approaching epicness of the game's ending.
I really like the atmospherical depth, which means, depth by using softer colors in the background, as you look through more air. Very well done.
The encounter itself is great, in which I like Ridley most. About to attack with the plasma beam from his mouth, and his expression is great too. One point of advise I can give here is that he's clearly on the ground, yet his feet and claws give the impression that he's not touching the ground. His claws clinch around 'something' that is not really there. Using more shadow there is a great mean of fixing that. Otherwise he's awesome.
I don't really like the pose of Samus, yet the details and colors still make her awesome. Don't be afraid to let her legs leave the edge of the picture a bit. In most cases, cutting off certain objects really works well.
I'd say this is one of your most epic 2D works till now. The details, like the ruble, the broken burning statue, vibrant use of color and the epicness of the scene on a whole made this into an awesome dev e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Well anyways, thanks a lot for the critique, maybe I should try fixing that about ridley and the ground, now that I finished with all trades I owed I'll try making more fanarts, good to see you again around here, sorry if I haven't made much metroid art lately, but now that I'm on vacation I'll try to make more.

I loved this battle...but as I love the Chozo more, I spend most of the battle trying to protect the statues from Meta Ridley...

haha I managed to protect at least one statue at the end of the battle but the statue still disapeared at the end

Haha si hay una versiΓ³n para wii es igual pero curiosamente la batalla contr ametaridley cambiΓ³ un poco y tambien la de metroid prime.
Samus perseguia a ridley porque ridley es el lider de los space pirates ademas ridley dupe quien matΓ³ a los padres de samus.
Y si es bastante dificil conseguir el 100% por primera vez yo ya me sΓ© la localizaciΓ³n de los items de memoria pero mira te paso un mapa donde estan todas las expansiones [link]

Ridley is cool, but what annoys me is that he doesn't know the definition of 'Dead' and manages to come back. Must be important to the Space Pirates. When I play Metroid or any of the other games that I have...I always love a Ridley fight. Amazing work!

I SO agree with the description, if the Meta Ridley/Ridley fight was ANYTHING like the Real fight from the Metroid stories then the other characters besides Sammy wouldn't stand a damn chance against him, seriously... XD ha ha ha I love it.
