Simple and effective. Just the right amount of gloom.

Desolate and moody.

Nice composition. I like the streaks and little imperfections in the scan.
It enhances the mood.

I like the 'old'-ish look, but I don't get the feeling of endless-ness. It's rather nothing-ness to me. So I don't really like the photo, but I like what you've done to it afterwards :]

i thought it looked like endless nothingness actually.. no content in life - no prospect of any..

Very 1930s nice simple lines. I love the imperfections in it from the scan

great stuff. somehow wish there was some object there to fill the image a bit. it looks a bit empty now. that might ruin the symmetry though,so don't know if it would work in the end...

That's one hell of a battered scanner

What i like about this is, take for example *ssilence who does something along the same lines, is that this photo comes across as desolate, gritty & tangible, whereas *ssilence makes his scenes equally desolate but at the same time he takes some of the edge off by introducing surreal elements such as mist & softness. I think i know why i like this: for a 'dead' scene it's surprisingly full of emotion.

Solid work!
