FINALLY RUBY IS DONE!!!holy crap it took a while but i think she turned out great!!!
I lost the image i found for the pose reference if anyone finds it let me know!

hello, I don't normally do these things and RWBY isn't something I'm interested in so i'll be looking at the aspects of the art itself.
The position of the body seems to be front-facing with the torso leaning at an angle, but the head is cut off by the connector of the cape so the angle her lead is facing appears very unnatural. Speaking of the cape; it seems to flow which makes me think that wind is blowing in this very undefined stone space. The background is kind of bland and we have no idea where she's supposed to be for an outside viewer [like myself] that may not know RWBY and assumes she's in a generic room. That's all I have to argue about except for the muddy shading that might have been intentional judging my the dark and almost gritty setting.

i definitely understand your confusion with certain bits. as for the wind look i was thinking she was shot back and spun her weapon around making her cape move. I was making this for my mortal kombat x rwby series and i hope that explains the background a little bit.
