This is what I came up with, rough version of cylindrical caps to finish inverted round. Aluminum and copper.

Cool. You know, you could have explained, didn't have to go and illustrate the principle for me

Got some work before I get to the making caps stage, but I like the idea. You just glue the sucker in there?

I have all these bead caps that didn't work for the project planned so I might dragoon those to see if they work.

I don't have a flickr account, hence all the stuff in scraps here And pics of the bead caps? When I find 'em, sure. They were left overs from a renfair project.

thanks, I think its a good way to finish round and persian weaves, that tend to look off when you try to put different combos of rings at the ends

Nice. How did you connect the Cap to the Inverted round?

KubusRubus In reply to Melifacent [2009-10-10 03:12:52 +0000 UTC]

right now its just friction, but epoxy would work great, I wouldn't braze it cause i brazed the cap closed and the end would likely fall off if reheated

How you make that cap? Lathe?

ha! i wish its just recycled copper pipe i cut with a jewelry saw and brazed on another piece of copper (also made from regular plumbing pipe which i flattened in a vise) as the end piece
