OMG.
I say "Final," but I might go back and touch this up later when I've had a bit of a breather from it.
Note: I am not this pretty in IRL. This painting has no acne, is wearing makeup and doesn't have frizzy hair. :3
Finally, an update over the one I did in 2005: [link] ...kinda nice to see progress between the two. This is a much better likeness as well.

This isn't totally accurate. My eyes are blue and I'm much paler than this XD

Gorgeous portraiture. I'm a sucker for realistic art, so I love what you did here.

This is soo great ! I also like to see the differencies between this painting and your first self portrait, this one looks more realistic ! I mostly love the eyes and the skin tone ! Congrats ^^

Beautiful. I am a random crazy one, and attracted too...would you converse with me? Do you use a pentablett? First you draw on paper or directly to the screen? I am to lazy to start drawing portraits, do you have some advice?

I don't usually go in for super realism...but it has been a lot of fun watching this image develop. It is so close to looking real...but just shy. Mind you thats a good thing...what makes the difference from a photo to a drawing. Your work is so much softer than any photo could capture. Great work!

Nice job! You're an inspiration. Self portraits are the hardest, imo. You nailed it.

Very well done. I don't have the patience to reach this level of photorealistic finish, so I am a bit impressed. You really got those skintones down, and the way you have rendered the light, makes it look very real.
I would have liked some sharper edges here and there, to accentuate some of the details, and I also think you could push the values a bit more.

it's beautiful! You're beautiful! I understand about the frizzy hair by the way, I too suffer with that (and the handful of self portraits I've done in the past, I've eliminated the frizz).
I love the smirk on your face here and you captured that. It's a very warm piece, you're reserved by still approachable by the look on your face here. The eyes are my favorite!

My goodness, this is simply astounding. I had to do a double-take initially as I thought this was a photo, and then I read that it was your self-portrait that you were working on. Your progression has truly shown between the original self-portrait and the new one. I could easily go into a long-winded essay as to how impressed I am with how you got those details down, but I will spare you the excessive reading and conclude with an enthusiastic "Well done!"
