Description
Not sure which category this belonged in. Just getting into texturing in school, and this was my first go at painting textures from scratch. I was pretty pleased with this part of it, however, even if the book on the left is a little too...clean.This isn't the actual texture map, by the way; the actual project used three 1024x1024 maps. Just gathered a few of my favourite parts. Maybe I'll post some screens of the entire scene when I get to school next, even though most of it wasn't that great.
Crits welcome; I'm new to this whole texturing thing, and I love it so much that I want to improve.
Done in Photoshop 7.

awesome... authentic-looking with exactly the textures it needs. I started learning Maya on my own, so stuff like this is particularly of interest. Good job!

Thanks, Estrada! These are a little bit old now, but I still kinda like how they turned out.
Welcome to Maya! Great program, though it can be quite disorienting at first...at least it used to be...I'm used to Maya 7.0, and it updates so fast that I think they're on Maya 120.0 by now. hehe

No worries. Sorry I didn't see this sooner or I would have sent you a higher resolution version.
