FULL VIEW FOR TUTORIALUpdate: 15th June 2010
As I am too busy, It will be hard for me to reply to comments on this page. However, if the issue is really pressing, you're free to note me, and I will do my best to answer.
Let's help each other! If you see a question on this page that you can answer, feel free to help out. You'll have all our gratitude.
---------------------------------------------------------
Take note before beginning the tutorial:
1. You must have a tablet. Wacom is a popular and reliable brand for the most part. For beginners, I'd suggest a Bamboo Fun model.
2. For photoshop, only version 7.0 and up has wacom support. For other software, please check [link] to see if yours has the right support.
3. Also, please ensure you have your tablet drivers are installed. If yours is a wacom model you can download them from the wacom homepage at [link]
--------------------------------------
I've received quite a number of question regarding my work, one of them being "How DO you do your lineart?" Hopefully, this tutorial will answer that question.
This is a BEGINNER LEVEL TUTORIAL that was done in Photoshop CS, but should work for any version with tablet capabilities. Even if you dont use photoshop, the fundamentals are the same.
Please tell me if it helps, and if I should do a colour tutorial. (I am considering it, but its ALOT of work.)

Nice tutorial! This looks soooo much better (and is less timeconsuming than pentool) than how I used to ink.
@skye15: I recommend a wacom graphire. I use one myself and I love it ^_^ I use A5 (size) but if you're on a tight budget you can also use A6.

i have a problem. my round brush had always been on pen pressure and the preview in my brush list has also been like the one you shown here. it has been working fine but just recently, i opened up my photoshop and the brush kind of 'disappeared' and i didnt know how to set the hard round brush back to pen pressure. so i read this tutorial and did exactly what you wrote here, changed the Shape Dynamics and Other Dynamics to pen pressure ( i didnt have to change anything actually because it was already set) but the preview still did not show like the one here. and it still doesnt respond via pen pressure. can you help me? must i install photoshop again? is it possible to download the brush instead?

I dont think you have to worry. You just need to 'refresh' your tablet. Try these steps:
1.) Close photoshop
2.) Got to your control panel and set your wacom pen mode to 'en'
3.) Disconnect the USB cable.
4.) Count to ten and Reconnect
5.) Open photoshop
If this doesnt work, try restarting your computer.

Great tutorial! Too bad I don't have a tablet xD
By the way, can I ask you a question? O,o
Step 3 never works out for me. I always do what the instructions say, but the brush stays exactly the same. *feels stupid =_=*
