Β Nice! I've been practicing for a while now and i want to try new style other than the "historical book" style.

Great, as an Inkscape / GIMP user I love having tutorials for them, instead of another Photoshop one

Yeah, no need to pay for Photoshop when you can get this for free. Although I wouldn't have anything against playing a bit around with Photoshop

Would this process be different if it were a different program?

Hmm, well I guess so. I've never used any other programs. Apart from MS Paint of course xD

For me I downloaded one of those programs, but it takes time to get used to.

It does, but the programs are awsome once you get the hang of it. I myself have only recently learned how to make use of Inkscape beyond creating labels, and it's awsome.

Inkscape? Yes I believe I downloaded that one to use myself.
But to be honest I would rather do it with one of those digitized
sketchpads, like the ones animators use nowadays.

You can animate stuff wih Inkscape if you do good with vector programs and you own adobe after effects.

Ahh. Β I was actually hoping to use the program to
pollish up some hand drawn sketches of mine.

I agree because you can ACTUALLY use and show your own art style.

when I selected the pencil tool it doesn't have any of the things to change the size of the pencil, why is that?

Kuusinen In reply to Tardis218 [2014-12-20 17:29:38 +0000 UTC]
That's because for some reason your Tool Options dialog is missing. It happens every once in a while.
To restore it, go to Windows - Dockable Dialogs - Tool Options. When the window opens you can either use it windowed or, what is preferable, drag it into the Tool Box window.
