Description
A quick sketch for the Nedic languages in my headcanon version of Tamriel. The Nedic languages are a wide group of languages spoken natively from High Rock all the way down to south-western Argonia. The actual name of the language group originates in the tribe of the Nedes, the most famous of the Heartlander tribes, and the usage of it is primarily political; after all, the centre of the Empire is located right in the heart of old Nedic land.
The official language of the Empire, Cyrodiilic (also known as Tamrielic) is a constructed language formed to ease communication, first inside Cyrodiil and secondly throughout the Empire. Originally based on the Cyrod City dialects of Heartland Nibenese with heavy Ayleidoon influence, the language would come to include great Colovian (primarily Neo-Colovian) influences to bridge the gap between Cyrodiil's eastern and western part.

Languages in gray are extinct languages and languages in brackets are non-Nedic languages that have influenced languages inside the Nedic linguistic group.
