Texas Panhandle - between Canadian and Wheeler, TX

While chasing storms into northwestern Oklahoma and into the Texas Panhandle, we encountered the approaching cold front that seemed to undermine our building thunderstorms. In this panoramic photograph, the cold front itself is cutting under the cloud base in the north as the sun sets, while we are retreating back home to Oklahoma in an attempt to catch up with a wild storm that was sitting on the back door of our home.
