Description
Simple chainmail hat I made a while ago, that's me that is wearing it. This is about the second piece I ever made so it's pretty bad Check out the bunching up at the top, not good. Still I was quite proud of myself. Stats:1000+ rings 16 ga galvanized steel 5/16 ID Oh and I made the cloth hat that I'm wearing underneath also.Related content

Yes but it's so satisfying when you're finished. Good luck!

I want to buy one, but I dont want to put stress on your time.
May I suggest (if you sell a few) that you attach fleece or heavy cotton to it as an under cover (just like what you've got there.? chain alone grabs hair.

oh yes I'm well aware of that fact, linings for chainmaille clothing has always been a top priority of mine. The real trouble though is getting it to stay on your head.

Maybe integrate rubber epdm rings around the base as to add a bit of elasticity and grab?

use cotton and a slightly lower back. Cotton will stick to the head a little better and the lower back should fit to the head.

I could, maybe not right now, kind of busy. But yes I could make you one, not sure how much I'd charge ya. Probably $35.

LOL Sweet, I like this. I have some chainmail jewelry on my gallery, I'd love if you'd go take a look and leave some comments.

for me "Bad" chainmail is when people use rings that are WAY too big for the wire.
