Description Modern lounge interior design/architecture, modeled and rendered in Cinema4D.

Unfortunately because of my relatively average spec computer, this took an enourmously long time to render (14 hours). And even so, it was still grainy. I'm not going to re-render, so to try and compensate there is a very slight blur on some of the render layers.

So please try to ignore the grainyness! CC is welcome.

Thanks everyone.

F#CK ME SIDEWAYS!
I Love it I can see why the render took so long, I love the way the light shines though.

I have been playing with things like this and i can't get them to work. Still, that is awesome.

Hahaha, glad you like it mate

It's pretty dam easy to do, All I've got is a sky object with a standard white material on it, and global illumination turned on. Then I've got an infinite light source with hard shadows pointing in the right direction. Reeeeally easy to do.

Wicked, Im trying a similar thing now, from an older project. But its rendered in FinalRender. But seriously, it does look awesome.

its a good concept and solid modeling, but your render has a little to much noise i think....

i want one, that is sweet.

I can see a lot of small details that look so simple and easy to do, but put together that is one massively awesome scene, honestly.

Haha, but people who are likely to buy a house probably dont care about how comfortable they are.

I thought that when I made 'em too, they dont look comfortable at all. But they're the same as the ref images I had..

Yeah, apperance comes before comfort in our craptacular society. We shouldn't even care about both! Ikea blows...

I like the grainyness. It makes it look more realistic. As in, it resembles a scanned photo and not some plastic creation.

Pretty good render. The windows, were the light is coming from, are a little bit too clean in my opinion.

Thanks man Lighting was a pain in the ass with this. I've got no idea why, but something in the scene is making the renders take an amazingly long time. I think it's the glass coffee table. :@

Thanks!

Its cool as a design..but I would live in this one casue it's too dull and monotone and..grey.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

L-X In reply to dremDDl [2006-11-23 11:11:48 +0000 UTC]

Yea. The first render for this had a bright red seat (like the one in the beach house) sitting near the camera, but looks amazingly out of place so removed it. I might try a version of this with some colour later on...

mrs-malfoy [2006-11-23 05:52:56 +0000 UTC]

well i'm not very good at rendering so don't count on my opinion....but i think i know a thing or two about architecture(being an architecture student......self promotion time break ) looks very nice!
i really like the small details, like the little queares on the wall, or the bricks on the chemine(is that how you spell it?...no bloody idea)
anyway...ignoring my humongous spelling mistakes, this looks cool

Oo, you study architecture? Nice! You must be smart then, to get into architecture school here you need all A's! How long have ya been studying? I study design, but I've always wanted to try alittle bit of architecture/interior design.

It's spelt Chimney... I think? haha

thanks for the nice comment

believe me there are some stupid people in architecture..but i shall not name the daughter of the guy that runs the school....no..i shall not name her..
aaaaaaanyway..it hink getting in was the easiest part....hard part is to stay in...as for studying, i'm in my second year now(out of 6) plus one preparing for the admission exam...that makes almost 3 years..so i'm not the one to say what's good or not in architecture..
no problemo for the comment

believe me it's a nuts house...like..tomorrow i got this exam and i basically i have to think up a hangman, so it won't break...that's kinda stupid...i mean if you wanna kill yourself there are other simpler ways to do it...
anyway,...design sounds cool too..i wanted to go to design at the first place too...but then i ended up here...hot so much fun tho

L-X In reply to mrs-malfoy [2006-11-24 01:18:14 +0000 UTC]

Whoa, thats kinda weird, making a thing to hang people :S But I can understand how it would help you, the strengths of the wood etc etc.
