Minor sketchdump of a bunch of characters from Clive Barker's Abarat books. Some are older than others, and... *cougharekindofbadcough*. ANYWAYS.column 1, from top down:
Malingo; Prince Quiffin; Letheo; Geneva Peachtree
column 2, top down:
Finnegan Hob; Christopher Carrion's older sister, the Princess of Midnight, who died as a young girl in a fire and we don't know her name; and lastly, Tria.
YEP so anyways, there they all are, my interpretation of what those characters would look like. I used Barker's illustrations as references for some of them, but others had no visual illustrations, so those are out of my head. So yeah.

Wow. I love this! Your interpretations of the characters are great, I especially like Geneva. You did a really nice job of making the characters your own while still staying true to the paintings, its wonderful! Hope to see more from you soon...

Loving all your Abarat stuff, some of the best Abarat fanart I've ever seen....My only real complaint is that Carrion's younger sister doesn't look, well, Carriony enough. Also, who's Quiffin, I don't really remember.

Well, I sort of figured the Carrions probably looked pretty normal, before they all got burned up in the fire... I guess I feel like Chris Carrion himself probably looks the way he does because of alllll the crap he's gone through in his life, while Mater Motley looks the way she does because of how unspeakably evil she is. And I did give her some cute little skulls on her dress. :3 So yeah, that's just my interpretation of that...
