There is so much emotion in just this one section of the Ouroboros; I can't imagine what it must've taken to complete the whole piece. I know it'd surely drive ME insane...

I was likely already insane when it started...but yes, seriously, a lot of intense emotion went into this piece, and it still kind of scares me today. Thank you for your insightful comment.

magnificent detail and complexity of the pattern and drawing. it's awesome to see it up as a piece by itself as well as in the original piece. it is just amazing, and looks like it took forever!

It took months (just this part, I don't even know, but it was intense, probably a couple weeks at least). This drawing was a major purging and a process of going into total blackness. I feel pain coming from it. But oddly, once I posted it for all to see, I feel it enters the realm of symbol and becomes more universal. I don't fear it as much. I guess the process is completed...
