How interesting it would be if the entity of Slenderman is actually a caretaking spirit that takes abandoned children under his wing, and takes care of them since society wouldn't do that themselves. Slenderman would then be seen as one of the most tragic anti heroes in the creepypasta universe.

Its not likely, but the same time the creature was made as meant to be an internet urban legend. And as these sorts of stories goes, one can interpret them however they want.Β
I know in creating this image I was going for something that could be taken many ways, in part is that if you look closely he is absorbing the girl, who is bleeding and very likely dead. But I've had people take it a different direction of how they decide to interpret this image and I'm cool with it.Β

Art is and always will be very subjective. People who think its only one way are fooling themselves. Just like everyone sees the same moment in time at the same place a little differently than the person next to them, artists only draw a moment of time and our meaning only comes through as well as we can hope and everyone will still see it just a little differently.Β

Very neat pic...simple but well drawn. It looks to me like she (or he??) is asking him for help or comfort, and his posture doesn't seem threatening, almost like he's awkwardly trying to hold him/her back. I like the shading on the face.

thanks! Well overall I was kinda going for a sort of mixed thing, trying to keep one unsure of what is going on in the picture. At the same time seems that close proximity to a slenderman causes things like bleeding from nose ears and mouth. disorientation and other not so fun things.
And as for the character, I tried to go for a slightly gender neutral look, so that people can imprint whatever sex they want on the person/victim.
