Description
“Daphne the Dullahan, Daphne the Dullahan,” she said in a sing-song voice. “I get to become Daphne the Dullahan!”Daphne locked herself in the vacant classroom. She tossed her purse onto one of the long lab tables. She untied the belt of her leather trenchcoat and slung it across the back of a student seat.
The coat had covered a racy outfit underneath. Stockings were held up under a miniskirt that could never hope to cover her wide ass. A see-through blouse, tied in the middle, did nothing to hide the X-marks of tape covering her nipples.
On a regular school day, Daphne would have dressed *somewhat* modestly in comparison. But this was not a school day. It was a college holiday, and Daphne spent the last few months working as a teacher’s assistant to obtain keys to this area of the building. Her required spellbook had been “borrowed” from the college library and brought to the privacy of this nearby classroom for a single-minded goal.
Daphne continued in her sing-song; “Detachable head for Dullahan Daphne, that’s me, the Dullahan-to-be!”
She grabbed her purse. A quick rummage through it brought out the book and the tool. It wasn’t a wand, but those were hard to get a hold of. This tool could do the job, though. It had great reviews compared to everything else she looked at online, and it arrived in time to pull this off sooner rather than later.
“For the first part, I need to look under D. Dee, dee…Dee! Where’s the ‘detach’ section…oh, decapitate?” Daphne scanned this section. “Yeah…uh-huh…yep! Okay, so I…do this, and that…and that’s it? Really?”
Daphne pointed the tool at her neck without looking away from the book. She read and reread the listed steps. She took a deep breath. She carefully read the spell aloud. The tool flashed and shot a charge of energy against Daphne’s neck. Then…
”…Did it do anythaaAAAHH!!” Daphne yelped. It took a few seconds, but the spell had succeeded. Daphne’s head tumbled forward off of her neck. She reacted and caught her head between the book and her breasts. She giggled at herself and her mini-freak out. After a moment of fumbling with it, she placed her head upright on a lab table.
She stepped back and looked at herself. She was finally doing it. She turned her headless body in circles for her viewing pleasure. She hiked up her skirt and shook her ass, turned again, and pulled her top down under her breasts. This wasn’t just any headless woman; this was *her*, and she was relishing the moment.
”Mmmm, looking good, Daphne! But I’m only halfway there. Dullahans get to take off their head and put it back whenever they want to. I need another spell.”
She walked the book over to her head and began searching the pages. Soon enough, she found the incantation she would need. “This should work…yeah, the description makes it sound like a magnet, I’ll do this one! Okay, do that, then say that and repeat it, channel the energy at a slow pace until you see that happen…”
Daphne sat her bare ass on the corner of the table. She pointed the tool at her neck. She lifted the book to look at it but laughed at herself; her head couldn’t see the pages from over here. She took a moment to move back and reread the spell, then positioned herself on the table again.
She started the chant. The tool lit up, then sent a steady stream of magical energy to the surface of Daphne’s neck stump. She saw the lines of the engram from the book start to draw themselves on her neck. She continued chanting, but got excited. She put more energy into it. Her emotions welled up and started turning the slow stream of magic into a more fierce beam of power. Daphne felt her neck tingling from the flow. The engram started appearing faster and faster. Her chanting got louder, the beam increased in power, the engram completed and lit up bright white, the tingling rumbled her stump, she—
*[BZZRRZTZTKTCHPOPPOPTCHHHH]*
The tool was overloaded from Daphne’s intense channeling. It malfunctioned. It’s internal magic limiter shorted out and shut down. The full force of Daphne’s magic focus blasted out of the tool. The engram that was glowing white nearly exploded in brightness before instantly snuffing out to black scorches. Daphne felt her neck burn with the magical energy before the feeling evaporated. The tool stopped shooting its magic.
“Shit! That can’t be good.”
Smoke rose from the tip of the tool. Blue and black magic tendrils rose from Daphne’s neck stump. She attempted to put the book down and walk to her head to inspect the tool, but her body simply sat there.
“Uh. Uh. Uh. What. What is. Uh. Uh,” Daphne repeatedly muttered. She couldn’t feel her body. Every attempt at moving failed. Her mind was failing to think straight. She couldn’t quite wrap her head around the fact that her body was not under her control.
(…why…is it…dark?) Daphne thought. She couldn’t see anything. She put down the book and the tool. She brought her hands to her neck stump and touched it lightly with her fingertips. A dull pain wafted through her neck and tingled like static. She tried speaking and opening her eyes. Nothing happened. (No…no, why…what did…)
“Shit shit shit! My body!” Daphne cried. She watched as her beheaded body got up. Her hands rose in front of her as she began to walk around. All Daphne could do was look on as her body roamed the classroom with clumsy footsteps. She bumped into tables, kicked the legs of chairs, and knocked over a stand on a lab desk.
(where was…my head) she thought. Some time and unsteady steps later, she found her head. She tried to lift it. It rolled on her hands, bobbled between her arms, hit her thighs, and rolled across the floor.
“Ow ow ow! Fuck! Ugh, you’re so stupid without me on your neck,” Daphne lamented. She was facing a wall. She heard her body make a few steps. Silence. A chair wobbled. Then she heard a thud. The table over her shuddered.
Daphne had dropped to her hands and knees and bashed her shoulder into the table leg. She slowly crawled forward. Her arms alternated turns sweeping and patting down the ground around her. The search for her dropped head was slow and difficult. (Has to…be close)
Daphne felt hands graze her hair then land on her head. She was picked up again. This time, she found herself wedged under her own body’s arm. After bonking her back against the table above them, Daphne was happy her body crawled out and stood up straight.
(I hope…I can still…do this) the decapitated Daphne thought. She took great care to adjust her head on the table and get a solid grip on it. She lifted it up. She put the two halves of her neck stump together. She ignored the tingling pain and pressed it firmly. Suddenly, her body could see. Suddenly, her head could feel her body again.
“Ah! Ow! Ah! Okay! Okay I’m connected! I’m con-AAAAH!”
Daphne let go of her head in her relief of regaining control. It immediately tumbled off of her neck stump and hit the table. The connection to her body disappeared.
(fuck…I hope it…didn’t go…far) she thought. Thankfully, her head was again in her hands in seconds. She lifted it again and kept her grip after pressing her neck together.
”Okay, fuck this is bad, but I can hold it here, right? I can walk, I can move…but I can’t really use my hands…shit this sucks. I gotta get out of here.”
Daphne saw her coat and tool and the “borrowed” spellbook. She walked over to them. She realized she couldn’t grab anything and keep her head in place. She took a deep breath, thought about what she needed to do with her hands, and gently put her head down near her coat. She closed her eyes and listened to her body grab her trenchcoat and slip it on. When she opened her eyes, her hands were beside her, grabbing the tool and the book and shoving them into her purse. She watched the purse slip off the table. She felt her hands grab her and lift her up again.
Daphne took a risk holding her head in place with one hand on top of it. It stayed as she opened the classroom door and walked out. The hallway was empty. She closed the door behind her and began her trek off campus. She only hoped too many people wouldn’t stare and wonder why she had her hands on her head. It was going to be hard enough for her to focus on making it home without losing her head along the way.
