Description
I created this wire bonsai tree for a tree-themed swap on craftster.org. It's made using 30gauge silver floral wire and a mix of glass beads in light green, green, dark green, and a aqua-ish green. There are leaves, flowers, hearts, teardrops, and all sorts of other stuff. It's kinda like a charm bracelet tree in that you can just keep looking at it and discovering all the different beads.Close-up of some of the beads I used: [link]

I am new but very much want to purchase this for its gentle flowing and suggestion of tranquility. It has my two favorate colors. May I purchase this beauty?

I really like the way the silver of the tree makes the leafs pop with color. Nice job!

ooh this is really neat! i love the use of the varying shades of green, it makes it look more realistic.
maybe it would be cool if there was just one out of place color- like a red heart or something..
just curious- how big is this?

This size and style tree takes 5-6 hours to complete.

I love the mixture of beads and the reflection looks nice on that mirror.

It does! I use about a yard per little branch, so that's... *gets out calculator*... around 110 feet per tree. I think. I'm not great at math. It's a lot.

It's floral wire, which is super cheap because it's made from steel, not copper. It costs $2 for a paddle of the wire I use, and that's enough for about 3 trees this size.

I do too! I wish I could say I put a lot of time into choosing them, but I really just dumped a bunch of random green beads in a container and put them on randomly.

Really are they random? Wow, I thought that this is a design composition. Nice.

It's totally random! When I do trees, I have to keep myself from overthinking the design. I make myself keep the beads and their placement somewhat random because I believe that nature is imperfect and I need to be true to that.
