Description
So Summer has come (and almost went) and I finally got to do a render of LQ in a beach-style render, and with the sun high in the sky, she's soaking in all the rays.So here we have my normal G3F LQ using her normal shaders, but with a new added bonus of 's N.G.S. Anagenessis Shader Preset addons. Now, you might wonder how these work, and it's a few clicks to add them to your exsisting Character model's skin, eyes, lips, nails, etc. All it really does is add additional maps to areas that might not have them, as well as give presets for glossy, velvet, wet, and other skin types that you might want depending on the types of pictures you are wanting to do, and the lighting you are using. I'M not the greatest when it comes to DAZ 3D or photography, but these presets helped me to make LQ look more shiny in the sunlight of a hot beach. Combined with NIC tools by Google (more on those in a sec) it's a very good investment, in my opinion, for folks that don't know how to tweak all the settings in DAZ to get their skin settings just so, and want their characters to look more realistic.
Also used in this version of LQ what are known as Vascularity Morphs. I purchased them at Daz 3D, and what they do is add veins to the character that can be seen. I figured that LQ would have veins showing on parts of her body if it was a hot day at the beach, and this also helps to add a bit more realism to the character. There are also some Muscle Morphs being used to help her form a bit. Specifically in her calves, and biceps. One thing that is interesting is that there really isn't a forearm morph to help try and even things out a bit, which I find odd, since there was one with the V4 model.
Now, about NIC Tools by Google... First off, they are free. Here's the link:Β www.google.com/nikcollection/ Β However, you have to have something like Photoshop, or a similar layered photo editing program for it to work on. Read up in it's requirements to see if it's for you. (Not sure if it works for GIMP yet.) It's functionality is a lot like having actions in Photoshop, only you can control them easier without there being a hang in performance. You can create what are called "recipes" made up of different adjustments that you string together, and then save them to a name that you choose. At any point that you want you can adjust this recipe for each individual picture you are doing. So you can create a base to work off of, then adjust as necessary due to what kind of lighting, color, etc. that is in the picture. This is very time saving, and creates wonderful results in my opinion. It also helps a person grasp their own sense of creativity and what is their own style. By creating your own personal recipe, and then modifying your pictures based upon it, you have your own style that is distinct. It then becomes working with the tools that you have to make yourself and your art better, and hopefully people will like it in the process.
I hope you all like this picture of LQ at the beach. Thanks for stopping by, and as usual...
Lots of
~LQ

Well, LQ is definitely a fantasy character, no doubt about that.
Wow! You think it could be on a book cover? I actually bought Dreamlight's tutorial on how to do covers and such, because I'll be doing some soon.

I'd say the test went very successful! I do like this image of LQ enjoying some time out in the sun; however, I hope she is on a private beach otherwise her admiring fans might want to either mingle with her or try their chances of joining her.

Well, it's a beach in Italy, so if she has fans there then they are welcome to join her if they can find her.

I've found that in many places abroad people tend to respect others privacy more than some do in the U.S. so while there might be the random person who works up the courage to walk out onto the beach, there's just as much chance that she could be left alone.

First off, LQ looks stunning at the beach. All the work you put into this image shows. L (and you!) both deserve a break!
And of course, everyone is going to like this image, why wouldn't they??
Finally, thank you so much for the kind words. They are very appreciated! It is my pleasure to help, to share what I've learned, and to grow by helping! Trying to explain things really helps me understand them myself, so really a lot of this is being selfish

Thank you for the high praise Slim. I hardly think I deserve it since I think you and Dark, along with others, are the ones who showed me how a lot of this works, but I do try to at least learn from your generosity, and pass it on when I can.
And besides, there's nothing wrong with being a bit selfish if it helps others, right?

Umm... wouldn't mind seeing her up close and...saying hi?Β
You really did a wonderful job with her pose and well muscled body work. Uh-huh, I do notice she's wearing the Vampirella style outfit minus the white collar, but she's making it her own.
Really nice job with her finely stranded hair styling and how realistic it looks along with her facial beauty and those eyes are just really sultry and . Great muscle definition and the skin tone really looks amazing and sun-kissed. The shadowing work really looks perfect and so elegant to match the soft tone this picture really has with your lighting. Not to sound naughty, but you gave her a..uh.."healthy" chest there. (Trying to notice everything
)
It is a beautiful setting for her there on the beach (which I'll probably never see one, but ).Β
I'm impressed as always and, as usual, I understood the first two line and the "I hope you like this picture of LQ.........."
This was well worth the wait!!

Hehe! I imagine there are several folks who wouldn't mind a more personal meeting with LQ.
Thanks for trying to notice everything. FYI her chest isn't any larger than normal, it's just the pose, and lighting. (I know this because I use the same model each time, and don't adjust her chest any.
) Now does this mean that LQ's chest is huge? Well, it's pretty healthy, but not in the league of some large-busted porn stars. (Yes that would mean I had to do research to find the right form for LQ, and Google brings up porn sometimes.
) However, you also have to understand that she's 6'7" tall in those heels so...everything is...BIGGER.
Thanks for all your praise, and apparently I'm going to have to put my disclaimer on more of my pictures.

The chest wasn't the first thing I noticed, but I did get a"round" to it.
I can understand the pose variation allowing some views to look different. And at 6'7", jeez, no wonder I like her so "much". (can't help, but like tall women more. Maybe because there is "more")
Ok, I'm done withe puns.
And what disclaimer are you referring to, may I ask?

Oh, you mean around the outside edge of the picture? That's called a "vignette lens". It's a stylistic choice that I have taken to using lately rather than a border.
π: 0 β©: 1
ttobserve In reply to Lady-Quantum [2016-07-30 15:48:26 +0000 UTC]
Well, maybe you vignetted too much:
the main blue of the sky is like,Β in daytime,
you might expect from a fainter sun. Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Lady-Quantum In reply to ttobserve [2016-07-31 18:20:43 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm...possibly. Like I said, it's just a stylistic choice. I can remove it from the recipe that I use to put the rest of the postwork on the picture easily enough if you'd like to see a version without the vignette lens.
π: 0 β©: 1
ttobserve In reply to Lady-Quantum [2016-08-01 07:01:47 +0000 UTC]
Interesting! Β
The vignette lens is gone,
but the βsky blueβ is as if this was a studio photograph with a backdrop,
insufficiently illuminated to be convincing, or else,Β
sheβs standing on an Earth-like planet with a dimmer sun! Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Lady-Quantum In reply to ttobserve [2016-08-01 09:26:26 +0000 UTC]
It probably has to do with the combination of brightness, contrast, and other settings I'm using with NIC tools to enhance the picture. For instance, there is one that is called "glamour glow" that gives a bit of a glow effect around the character. Some of these settings must darken the sky a bit, and may even add a bit of red to it.
π: 0 β©: 1
ttobserve In reply to Lady-Quantum [2016-08-01 09:37:35 +0000 UTC]
Glamour glow: yes, I see it.
Now, to my eyes, the color of the sky should beΒ
more like what it is right around her breasts. Ahem. Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Lady-Quantum In reply to ttobserve [2016-08-01 10:06:56 +0000 UTC]
Yes, that would be a combination of the Dark Enhancer, which brings out the details in her skin, such as the veins that I added, some red contrast, and I believe a light blue filter. With the Glamour Glow set to yellow, it washes out the changes that the other settings had made, and returned the area around the model back to close to the original color before postwork began.

ttobserve In reply to Lady-Quantum [2016-08-02 00:56:13 +0000 UTC]
...washes out the changes that the other settings had made...
You should probably work on the background
before adding the figure (or, in a separate layer).

Well, these are her normal looks as far as the model's morphs goes, but in this particular picture I have increased the "realistic quality" of the model's skin by using N.G.S. which is something new that I haven't really used before. So, no, this wouldn't be a normal picture of her, at least for the moment, but I hope that it will become my new standard of quality for my pictures in the future.
