A short comic from the episodes Princess Twilight Sparkle.
Yeah, we only got a vague clue of what happened with Cadence protecting the Crystal Empire, but from everyone going on and on about Twilight being EQUESTRIA's savior now that the Princesses were gone. How do you think that makes Cadence feel? XD
Cadence may have an Empire, but the younger, adorkable Twilight Sparkle has the whole freaking world to protect. XD
I don't think she was taking it well.

In all fairness, the Crystal Empire is outside of Equestria in show canon. Ignoring those poorly made maps that only give a general look at all the places in Equestria, show just adds whatever it wants when it needs it.
Cadance is the ONLY one who can govern the crystal empire and keep it safe. They wrote her away so they wouldn't have to use a failed toyline anymore. xD
Poor spa and tiara loving Princess. At least she gets to live a comfy and pampered life. I doubt she cares what happens in Equestria at this point 
But being written off does suck lol

Princess Cadence: You're... not kidding? *sniff* Well. We'll have t-to send them a... f-fruit basket... or something...

It seems some changeling survivors got to the baskets and laced them with poison - several of our testers are recovering in the hospital. We're sorry to send you such troubling news via letter. Princess Cadence: DAMN IT! Well, at least they assumed the changelings did it-
