A short comic from the episodes Princess Twilight Sparkle.
Yeah, we only got a vague clue of what happened with Cadence protecting the Crystal Empire, but from everyone going on and on about Twilight being EQUESTRIA's savior now that the Princesses were gone. How do you think that makes Cadence feel? XD
Cadence may have an Empire, but the younger, adorkable Twilight Sparkle has the whole freaking world to protect. XD
I don't think she was taking it well.

Oh and Twi's right about being the last princess in Equestria since the Crystal Empire isn't really part of the Equestrian Nation.

According to the promotion commercials for The Hub's website, Equestria has fully functioning PCs and internet connections. They must have Emails...Perhaps because the Crystal Empire just came back from a thousand year absence, they're having problems adapting to such technology.

Yea, I'm really hoping that will be explored further. They way they seemed to refer to Equestria and the Crystal Empire as separate things lends more weight to the idea that Equestria is just one of many nations.
Even in the very first episode, it was called "the magical LAND of Equestria". Not world. Land.

Cadence is a ruling Monarch; which means she has a responsibility to her citizens to stay where she is and lead them. Twilight meanwhile is more like say, Prince Harry in the UK. Royalty they may be, but their job isn't ruling the nation: ergo she's free to go on world saving quests; especially since it's to get the current Monarchs back
But still, yeah, dick move side-lining Cadence like that, you'd think she'd send a token support group or something

I got the chopped liver part, but I don't get why Cadence was angry. Even the show pointed out that she was busy taking care of the Crystal Empire so she can't make it down to Canterlot. xD but maybe thats just me over thinking it.

It was my general distaste of everyone freaking out over the two Princesses going missing or dead that they treat Twilight as their savior while overlooking Cadence whom we KNOW is far more qualified to ruling an Empire (Or even Equestria) than Ms. Adorkable OCD Twinkle-hooves there, lmao.

I was wondering why they were leaving Cadance out. I highly doubt the Crystal Empire was in too much peril, considering the weeds/branches/doom plants had only just entered Ponyville. She could've helped. :/

They are in the crystal empire RULING it therefore cadence isn't an equestrian princess she's a CRYSTAL EMPRESS wich means she can't just drop everything and rush over to rule yet ANOTHER country.
