Indianapolis Zoo - Indianapolis, Indiana - 2010

I've said this in other posts. Cheetahs are new to the Zoo this year. The Zoo is a grand place to go bright and early in the morning. Nine am, all the animals have just been released into their exhibits, fed, and in general especially in the summer, active.

My partner in crime, Pat, missed out on the chance to shoot these guys the last time we went so this was his day. Still, we stood and watched them for a good hour with -nobody- around at all.

I swapped lenses with him after he'd taken the shots he wanted to get this image. She was so very lovely sitting there and trying to watch the baby antelopes that had just been born a few days ago. She's separated by at least two fences, but it didn't stop her from watching. The handler who happened to be walking around the exhibit said all the girls were very interested in the babies.
