First: Maelstrom: Chapter One Cover
Ivo doesn't exactly trust a majority of his crew all that much which is why he's stashing away all the weapons. You'll get to meet the First Mate of The Scorpio (the speaker in the second panel) in two weeks. ;D After drawing Ivo's mechanical hand so many times, I'm getting more comfortable with it!

Mechanical arms are a challenge to draw! But very rewarding. I like how you've designed Ivo's arm! The blue light goes well against the bronze

Yeahhh some grunge can have the same effect. It's supposed to look messy, which is so hard to do from scratch.

Trenton's would be easier to manage--they're basically a bunch of manchildren (with three legitimate kids and an exasperated lady).

Oh gosh he's ultra brooding in the top panels, I love how straight his more is! And the subtle eyebrow raise. It must be exhausting being so distrustful all the time

I like the first two panels because I only had to draw it once and then modify his eyes and mouth!
He has a long nose to suit his long face and string bean physique--no one would be scared of him if he didn't have that arm though!
He's got two people he trusts onboard and that's about it. Everyone else are Potential Enemies who he wouldn't hesitate to shoot, stab, or toss overboard at the slightest sign of disloyalty, though he does enjoy playing mind games with those types too...

Hidden knife on his leg! You're really nailing Ivo's expressions and yeah, the more you draw complex things, the easier it gets... it's just really hard to keep it matching up.
( I like how to shading his eyes in the third panel! subtle highlights)

Along with other hidden weapons! He's been through one mutiny and it was enough to make him consider multiple contingencies in case it happens again...
Thank you! Yeah, I thought his arm would be the death of me but it's been getting easier by the panel (now I'm finding his hand fun to draw!)

I really need to get my ass up and catch up on "Maelstrom" at some point but lemme just say for now that I REALLY adore the vibrant colours you use! Also, your characters seem so lively - I love me some Trenton.
