Description

Some giftart of Tristine that has been a looong time coming for Art-Zealot !  Even though I'm not in the Sybal Heim group, I've enjoyed seeing Tris's character grow over the years (and also all the AUs she's in!) through the art you've posted of her.  I wanted to draw her up in a steampunk ensemble...for reasons!  Anywho, hope you like!

This is a delightful art trade! I love the fact you drew her in steampunk clothing (which really suits her btw) and I love how you've drawn her hair, it almost gleams it's so beautifully drawn and the steampunk ring you've designed for her is inspired- a great design!

Thank you!  There's so many people I've been wanting to draw gifts for--Tristine has been on the list for a loooong time!

Thanks!  Hair is one of my favorite parts of characters to work on, especially when they've got lovely manes like this.

Holy smokes! I'm gone for a few weeks and just that amount of time it looks like your line work has gotten even better! This is sooo good. I love the colored lines throughout the image, really adds that soft touch.

Aww, thank you so much!!   I missed having colored lineart in my pictures, so I've been trying to incorporate it without it overwhelming me, so pretty much just using it on faces and objects/clothing that look "softer."

It's always good to show temperance in colored out lines. Sometimes I see stuff that get the outlines too close to the main color and it ends up looking kinda flat. Your drawings execute it perfectly!

One way to fix that is to go into Hue/Saturation and pull the Lightness bar to black a little more--it's easier than going over the lineart again with darker colors!

Ah that would work nicely, it wouldn't be fun to do that by hand again.
