Majora's Mask version is the best. I wish they used that one instead of the Ocarina of Time version in Smash Bros Melee.

I feel your pain. I may be promoting the pictures for reference, but I do not own it, simply because the 3DS is, indeed, so damn expensive.
I'm going to wait about 3 years, and bye a used one.

I noticed the Young link from the ocarina of time game
looks nothing like the art for him.
I think oot3D Young Link was developed to look like the Art of young link from 1998

The issue with the original is how limited they were with the gaming engine. They had a very difficult time making him look proper to begin with, so I have a feeling that once they got something down, it was good enough.
The 3DS revamp was a very nice mix between not only the original gameplay proportions, but the original artwork. The issue with most of Yusuke Nakano's pieces is that the proportioning was physically impossible, and very inconsistent between every single state.
