As Zilla and Komodithrax continued to fight the Queen Bitch, who was out pacing them due to being airborne, a chirping screech echoed on the island. From a mountain, a glowing blue insect swooped down, ramming into the massive queen insect. Being smaller, Sphectra easily out-flew Queen Bitch, appearing in one spot, stabbing at her with it's sharp legs, before vanishing and reappearing someplace else. It wasn't until Queen Bitch guessed the pattern and smacked Sphectra out of the sky with her massive thorax. This gave Zilla enough time to roast the stationary Queen and win the battle.

Afterwards, Zilla, Komodithrax, Runt, and Sphectra were guided back to Monster Island. It is not known if Sphectra maybe a natural mutation, as it shows signs of intelligence on level with Mothra.
