I already talked about my experience with the Creepypasta fandom itself a while back – which was one of the most horrible experiences with any group of people in my lifetime. Never have I seen so many rude people in one fandom, not in the MLP fandom – not even Homestuck. Considering most of the fandom is made up of children, I shouldn’t be surprised about all the lies that they made up about me. However, there’s nothing a bunch of bad fans can do to make me stop liking horror/creepypasta when dark subjects like those are something I’ve grown up with. I’m sticking to it one way or another whether people like me or not. I’m here for the characters and stories, not for the people, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I don’t really need to talk about it anymore since I have already have in the past, so let’s talk about what they’ve done to Levine.

Let’s go back to when Levine was first starting out, before she was the Game Alchemist – and I actually had to take this picture out of storage to put it up here. grismalice.deviantart.com/art/… Yep, this was her. Another Jeff the Killer spinoff character. I don’t have enough information on her old version there, so I’ll have to explain it – she was basically an OC that killed with a sharp chess piece alongside Jeff as a proxy. Long story short, I was writing a chapter fanfiction about her and Jeff – I still have it, but I’m not even going to send that embarrassment. She was an emo, bland basic character and I really don’t want anyone to see it. I decided to write a short creepypasta about her (I wish I knew where it was, but I no longer have the file anymore.) and submit it to the wiki. A hundred bucks to you if you can guess what happens next. I went on deviantart and complained about it – like most people would – and a mod comes from the site and leaves multiple hate messages on the page along with some others from the wiki. I ended up deleting both the journal, storing the story, and blocking the OP. This situation doesn’t end as badly as one may think. I actually came to terms with a decision to eventually unblock the person who attacked me and we’re actually okay with each other now. I don’t want to put her out there though. This situation also helped me to stop writing the bad fanfiction and come up with new ideas. If this hadn’t have happened, Patches the Rabbit, the Giver, and the Back Trumper may have not been here today and Levi would still be another bad Jeff proxy – but most likely deleted altogether.

Going into this year, another situation rose. I received a note from a DeviantArt user about some things that were going on behind my back. (If you are the one who sent me the note and reading this and want to be mentioned in this, please let me know.) This wasn’t a random user popping out of nowhere; this is actually a user who is friends with someone who is my friend and someone who I have heard of and seen prior to the note. Some of you might be shocked to see who it was, but without their permission, I can’t say who it is. I’m going to pick through the parts where it was about the OC/fandom itself and not me personally. He told me that, “Well I help run a blog on tumblr and I've gotten a request to have one of my fellow co-runners blind read your game alchemist story to make fun of it. A lot of it starts with just people disliking your oc and then spouting stuff they heard from *redacted* and blah blah blah. Part of being in a fandom and creating ocs is just to have fun. I think some in this fandom forget that and scrutinize every little thing someone does. Hell, most people are just in it to be 'famous'. Those people make me sad. I joined the fandom around the same time I started to like horror movies. Writing fanfiction made me love writing again and I decided that I would hang on to my dream of one day being published. My cp oc is just a means for me to get better at that. I don't care if people hate or like her I just want to be a better writer.” Do I even need to say what’s wrong with this? Let me get this straight here. You go to tumblr and request my story to be blind read and made fun of? Really? Whoever did that is beyond immature. If you're hating on my OC just because of that video, then I really don't know what I can do to help you get out of that childish mindset.

The most recent and worst situation is when someone posted a ‘review’ of Levine. I’d say who this person is, but I already tried getting DevaintArt to take it down because they used my art and they didn’t, so there’s no point in trying anymore. This is someone who I was told doesn’t like me by the OP in the prior paragraph, so you can imagine that this wasn’t actually a review, but a wall trying to make me feel like shit. Not only did they only point out the flaws and none of the good stuff, they took a piece of my artwork and put it in their stash to use as a picture. Last time I checked, it was against DeviantArt’s rules to use other people’s art without permission. help.deviantart.com/157/ help.deviantart.com/306/ I don’t care how old the art is, you don’t put my art on your page for any sort of reason. She seemed to pick through everything on the character just because she didn’t like me as a person. She even said that the lace had something to do with sexual references even though the way she uses it is in a non-sexual manner and only when she’s in a fight. Think about some other characters that have used strings or whips as a weapon –are those sexual too? Doesn’t the Puppeteer use strings too? Is he molesting his victims with them like they’re sex dolls? No, he’s not. Look at Slenderman. He also has tentacles for weapons and the only reason why they’re sometimes seen sexual is because the fans try to make it that way. Lace/Whips/Tentacles/Strings does not mean molestation. She complained about using Tarot cards as playing cards – well why not? What if the game was a method of practice for her abilities with others who had powers like her? What if she developed her abilities over the years with this group of people and not in a short amount of time? Her origin story isn’t done yet – it’s going to be a comic since I need some practice at keeping a consistent work pace – so no one would understand why she does that. She also read through the story and ripped it apart as well, and again, pointed out no good parts in it just like the rest of her ‘review.’ She even wanted me to take the character out of the fandom altogether. I was planning on updating the OC ‘s bio anyway, but they still shouldn’t have taken my art and ahem, ‘reviewed’ my OC. I’m sure if you did some digging you can find the review, but I’m not going to be the one to instigate the drama. If you do anything, it’s on you. I’ve had enough of it already. If the OP of the review does see this, please don’t try to start anything with me again because next time I won’t be so nice. Take this as a hint and leave me alone in the future.

Not only that, I’ve seen multiple people leave poor comments on other people characters. I know some characters might not be the best out there, but is that really a reason to try and insult the characters and make the person hurt? You may not realize it, but some people have poured their heart in soul into their characters and you’re going to come along and call them out and insult them like that…just out of nowhere because you can? If you really wanted to help them, you wouldn’t say ‘this sucks,’ ‘Mary Sue,’ and this sounds like, ‘such and such famous CP.’ You would ask if they wanted suggestions before you gave them. Please try to be more respectful towards people, especially if you’re an older teen or adult in the fandom. It only makes you look like an asshole.

The one thing I learned about the monsters in this fandom is that the true monsters aren’t in the stories – their fans are the only monsters in it.
