Mankind's vanity used to be such that they thought the sun revolved around the world. Darwin merely proposed that perhaps existence didn't revolve around mankind, either.
Love the stamp!

It's pretty funny... A lot of people don't know that the 'Jesus fish' was originally a Pagan symbol of the season of Pisces...
But this is pretty neat, hehe Have you seen the Zeitgeist movie?

Actually no it wasn't. Just because the two religions happen to share a symbol doesn't mean one stole it from the other. The christian use of fish refers to a story in the bible and became a symbol because when christians were oppressed forever ago, when they met a stranger they'd sweep their foot in front of them, forming half of the fish, and if the other was a christian as well they would complete the symbol. [link]
Also Pisces and such are a part of Roman/Greek mythologies and were later adopted by wiccans and used in divination. So I hope you weren't using the term pagan to mean wiccan or druidic.

Ichthys or Ichthus (Greek: ἰχθύς, capitalized ΙΧΘΥΣ or ΙΧΘΥC) is the ancient and classical Greek word for "fish."
The use of the Ichthys symbol by early Christians appears to date from the end of the 1st century AD. Ichthus (ΙΧΘΥΣ, Greek for fish) can be read as an acrostic, a word formed from the first letters of several words. It compiles to "Jesus Christ, God's son, savior," in ancient Greek "Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, Θεοῦ Υἱός, Σωτήρ", Iēsous Khristos Theou Huios, Sōtēr.
* Iota (i) is the first letter of Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς, Greek for Jesus.
* Chi (kh) is the first letter of Khristos (Χριστóς, Greek for "Christ" or "anointed".
* Theta (th) is the first letter of Theou (Θεοῦ, that means "God's", genitive case of Θεóς, Theos, "God".
* Upsilon (u) is the first letter of huios (Υἱός, Greek for Son.
* Sigma (s) is the first letter of sōtēr (Σοτήρ, Greek for Savior.

I really do appreciate the information, and thank you for the link. I have one that might interest you as well, and yes, I did see mention of early Christians using it to communicate: [link]
The symbol for pisces is derived from the vesica pisces (meaning literally, womb of the fish), or mandorla, which is created by the intersection of two circles. In Pagan times, it was associated with the goddess Venus and thought to be symbolic of women's genitalia. In fact, one of the early adaptations of the 'Jesus Fish' in Christianity had the baby Jesus depicted inside the vesica pisces, symbolizing him in the womb of the virgin Mary.
When it comes to many subjects, especially religion, there will always be more than one opinion regardless of the sources or facts shown. Religious topics can be a bit opinionated, not meaning in a bad way, just meaning that people are more inclined to believe one thing over another no matter who claims which source from which time or which person.
While it has it's standing now in Christianity, numerous new age authors have interpreted it as a yonic symbol and claimed it a reference to the female genitals. It's all a matter of which authors one chooses to believe.

Usually because they're hiding behind a screen name so they say whatever they want without regard to people's feelings.
I try to be at least polite with everyone and avoid arguing. Winning an online argument doesn't mean enough to me to make me be mean to people XD

I'm just too nice but that extends to real life even, well most of the time... it takes a lot to get on my bad side. My mom's church's old pasture managed to. But people preaching hate in the church I grew up in (and it doesn't matter to me that I don't even consider myself 'christian' just freaking pisses me off. Of course even then I was calm and polite and down right freaking sweet (even though I was ranting and screaming inside about what an evil bastard he was) while very carefully tearing him to shreds. I wouldn't want the old ladies I've known since I was a baby to think I have no manners. Needless to say he's no longer their pasture.

I've been known to be too nice to otherwise undeserving people, but it's always good not to lower yourself to their level.
I grew up with church people picketing and yelling in people's faces all the time about how we're all horrible, unworthy people- It sort of turned me off toward religion for a long time. Only recently have I met very kind people who are willing to explain and debate both wisely and with kind temperaments. But I suppose no matter where you go or what religion it is, you'll always have a few bad apples painting the wrong picture. If only everyone could be kind and understanding

No, I haven't seen the movie.
Almost all xian symbols, holidays and even perceptions of major figures have their basis in paganism.

The first half of zeitgeist (on zeitgeistmovie.com if you're interested) actually goes through all the similarities, starting with Horus, Egypt's sun god, how he was born on Dec. the 25 to a virgin, dead for three days, resurrected, etc. The similarities can be found all throughout history, and are actually all astrology-based. Well, I won't explain it cuz it's so much more fun to watch the movie The first 8 minutes are sort of stuff I'd rather skip over, though. An introduction that might turn people off to the movie before they get to the good, factual part of it. And the religion part is only about the first 20 minutes, it's awesome to just watch that part.

LOL, I LOVE IT!
I'm one of those insanely weird Christians who takes the Big Bang Theory, Darwin's Theory, and all these other scientific theories and then figures out a way that they work with what the Bible says.
It's all very interesting, and a few people flame me for it. =/ But that's okay.

ZOMG you're gonna hear a true story. Love it.
I went to Catholic School eh, in Biology we had a class discussion on Evolution vs Creationism, and there was this girl Felicia leading the debate for Creationism, and me for Evolution.
I'll give you the ending, it was Epic Win.
Felicia: "Oh yeah? Then how come everything on this planet just works so well together!?"
Me: "Because everything that didn't, DIED, STUPID!"
Class: "Oooooh."
I won the world.
