Lovely work! I can almost *hear* the sounds of the water flowing across the stones on the creek bed.

I rarely look at the titles before I view the piece but you nailed the underwater look with this one Kat.

I'd like to explore this shallow riverbed, with the interesting, water-smoothed stones and the delicate plants gently swaying in the current
I saw what Graham wrote above, and I totally agree: you've achieved your vision!

Thanks, Gill.
I can really imagine this one: sunlight on a clear shallow stream bed.

I like the way you have made some of the stones in the foreground, above some of the texture! Very nice detail!

Thanks for mentioning the differences in the texture placement! I wanted some of the stones to look as though they were above the water.
I appreciate the good look.

Nice pebbles and rock textures, the suggestion of shallow water, rippling over the surfaces is inventive and the little green weeds add a subtle splash of additional colour interest to the brown/grey palette. Lots to look at and explore here, and the title is perfect.

Thanks, Chris!
I had that watery texture layer saved for a while and finally found a good place for it.

Thanks very much, Lauren!
The title is from a book I read back in the 90's, Stones From The River by Ursula Hegi.

Cool title. It does look like stones in a river about to dry out.

Excellent job on this. I'ts like looking into a clear creek and seeing the water moving over the stones and the the little plants hugging the stones. Amazing.
