This is homework?
It's another piece of yours that makes me want to quit work and spend the next year playing with Ultrafractal! The textures, design and depth of this are all perfect . . .

interesting border job. IMO the main fractal shouldn't be cut off on the sides. Very nice job otherwise though

I just went into UF and played with it and right now I can't do that because of the techniques we're supposed to use for this image. I'm working on another homework assignment right now and don't have time to see what I can do to bring it out from behind that border, but I'll do it when I can because I think you may be right. Thanks for the suggestion.

MichaelFaber In reply to LaPurr [2007-01-12 08:20:10 +0000 UTC]
i like how the border cuts some of it off, and how some is overtop of the border. what i don't like is how the design on top of the border goes outside of the image
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
LaPurr In reply to MichaelFaber [2007-01-12 09:26:50 +0000 UTC]
That's interesting. That's also a fairly easy thing to change: all I'd have to do is alter the aspect ratio and mess around with the border size. As I said, I have to finish what I'm doing right now, but I can deal with this at some point and see how it turns out. I really do appreciate the different perspective on the image.

It might be interesting to see it without the clipping...hmmm. I'll think about that.
Thanks for the look and the comment, Michael!

This looks very similar the the prototype Julia I saved...If you don't mind my asking, what formula did you use for the balls?

Well my brain just went off on some tangent over pearls, swine, truffles, leaves and dirt.
All that aside this has a really nice 3D effect. Simply stunning.
