anyway, lovely colours, smooth lines, the brass lock and handel fit it just right, and the border is very sweet^^

Heh. The only real difference is that steam-punk has whistles and gauges and such, whereas clock-punk has clocks (obviously) and wind-up keys and the like. Nonetheless, it's nice to look at.

Fractals are what you make them. Some like pretty whirls, others like other types of images. It's up to the artist how to use the tools in each program.

Yup! Ultra Fractal shapes which have been masked and layered in the program. Not a fractal per se, but definitely a fractal image.
