I forgot to mention that the background looks like smoke and reflections of flames. Very cool contrast with the lake.

An awesome picture with a great composition and atmosphere, very inspiring (if it was the front cover of a sci-fi book, I'll read it straight away)!
Great work Kat!

A nice, moody/atmospheric piece with a good range of tones. I like the strong foreground reflections and the fact that the structure isn't just sitting on the horizon line but is surrounded by the water - I guess that's down to your use of the two different lake transforms you mentioned lower down?

Thanks for the more comprehensive commenting, Chris!
Yeah, the two transforms together made this image more interesting to me because, as you wrote, most lake images just have a structure sitting on the horizon. I've played with The Complete Lake before and know that it allows one to change the horizon line. The way the two transforms used together created the look of water surrounding the main structure was the reason I posted this. Something just a bit different for a lake image, ya know?

It's a good technique.

What a beauty! Fantastic colours, fabulous light, depth & clarity, great choice of structure for the overall effect.
