Description
This picture is page 1 of 2 from a personal project that I started a couple of weeks ago. I was inspired by a comic book page by Joao Ruas [link] which had been done using pencils and watercolour. I liked the style of it and the fact that the panels blended into each other. I drew the headgear from a mannequin and put my own eyes behind it from a different photo.I don't really think this is finished yet and I'm not sure about the text, but please make suggestions/critique, I wonβt be offended at all.

My dad would love you for this, he draws this sort of thing on a daily basis...

I like it a lot, there's a lot of nice detail on the face.

As we all know, I like it. Maybe some more detail on those trees?

What sort of detail? I was going for the flat layered look.

But it's clearly visible, that it's always the same tree. Would be better if you'd use two or three different tree shapes. It's the first thing that came to my mind when i read PORG's post.
btw: i really like the pic. It's detailed and his eyes look like he's watching a target far away... with a bit of hope and fear.
The painted... "sketchbook" look comes out very good.

Pretty cool man, I really like it. I could only suggest spending more time on the bottom bit. for example extending the paper texture and orange tint to the bottom over those mountains and trees.
Or perhaps you could instead do a bit of the inside of his cockpit/more detail on his fight suit.

Great, thanks for the suggestions. I'll play around with it a bit.

First to post...
Why'd you not call it 'Krrsshht' like I said?

Because I'm not even sure that I really like the radio static at all.
