Looks pretty cool. I like how you emulate the tarsal claws of insects with the way you designed the hands and feet. The character also has four wings, instead of two, so he doesn't have to break the laws of physics to fly. The "butt spike" is a bit out of place though. The stinger you see in hymenopteran insects is actually a female reproductive organ, sometimes known as an ovipositor. He also appears to have irises in his eyes, but I am guessing that is an intentional artistic liberty, to further anthropomorphize the character.

I am indeed aware of the nature of a stinger (in actual hymenopterans) being a modified ovipositor, hence it only being present in females. But I took some artistic liberties since I wanted to design the character my own way, so it may not be exactly 100% true to the biology. Just having some fun, heh.

thank you!
this "butt spike" thing is called pseudostinger and males of some wasp species have them :0
eye irises can be kinda explained with this optical effect in mantis eyes and stylization

Looks like you beat me in my own game.
No, but in all seriousness. Interesting trivia you have given me! In all my time studying entomology and practicing beekeeping, I have never heard of this pseudostinger. Guess you never run out things to learn about in nature. However, from what I can gather, this pseudostinger trait is a characteristic only found in Scoliids and Typhiids. There does not seem to be any record of this occurring among Pompilids such as this fella.
Oh, and don't worry about the eyes. They look adorable, and this character would certainly look a lot less so without them.

this is why i have no friends ;v;
nature is truly fascinating in all variety of creatures and structures!
yea, i know that's not really a wasp thing but this sounds better than male with an actual stinger? (him having stinger was a commissioner preference)
