"When day became night, the chaos would take hold once more.
It was as though he had been isolated from the outside world for years, rather than days. He had almost forgotten what it was like to taste, to touch, even to breath. He carved his new, nightmarish designs into the wooden floor with his own fingernails until they were torn away, his hands splintered and worn down to the bone. Dipped in his own blood, he had pulled the tiny splints away to execute the finer details. Surrounded by more drawings on paper and frantic notes, his concepts were both an effort to make sense of the voices and the ideas presented to him. They were blue prints, no – 'red prints' for a dystopian nightmare.
What were once draftsman’s hands of precision, were now caked in painted blood mixed with what was left of paint and ink. Now, his blood was also running dry and the mark making had ceased - his mind now left to wander the dark recesses of the apartment. He sat in the company of the grotesque and began to pick the multicoloured scabs of paint, ink and blood from his naked body. It was almost therapeutic – as though the invading textures had infected him somehow. They crawled and bubbled under his skin, while he sat transfixed by the weeping walls and faces that screamed at him from beyond. The same walls that three days previously had resembled the perfect lifestyle."

It's been great fun to dive into the sick and twisted world of 'The Architect'. The image was mainly painted during the night with Low's 'Half Light' on repeat. If my image is the visual dimension to the story, that song is definitely the audible dimension if you ask me. Check it out [link]
